As stewards focus on implementing their business continuity plans and protecting the health and safety of their staff and customers, CSSA wants to advise that it is maintaining its ability to provide service and assistance while taking all necessary precautions.
All CSSA and program staff is working remotely and travel bans have been in place for more than two weeks. In the event you have had recent contact with any staff, we are pleased and thankful to report we have no reported cases of COVID-19 illness.
Some stewards have contacted us to inquire if there will be any changes to reporting and/or payment deadlines. We know that some of you will be unable to meet this year’s May 31 reporting deadline, and we understand that many will likely require relief measures during these unprecedented times. CSSA is currently working with the various PPP programs to finalize what action can be taken to provide support – we expect to provide more information on this in the near future.
In the meantime, our National Steward Services (NSS) team appreciates the efforts of stewards who have already submitted their PPP reports. If you are able to meet the reporting deadline we encourage you to do so and thank you for your efforts. If you have already collected your data and have any questions or need assistance, please contact NSS at 1-888-980-9549 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finally, CSSA, on behalf of Recycle BC, MMSW, MMSM and Stewardship Ontario, extends our deepest thanks for keeping your co-workers and neighbors healthy and safe while the world meets the challenges of this rapidly evolving situation.
